On behalf of the Florida Aviation Business Association (FABA), I am reaching out to express our deepest sympathies to those who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene and our concern for those who may be affected by the impending Hurricane Milton. We understand the challenges that these storms bring, particularly for the general aviation community, and want to offer our support during these difficult times.
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of the businesses, employees, and families that form the backbone of Florida’s aviation industry. Whether you have already experienced the devastation of Helene or are preparing for Milton, please know that FABA is here to help.
To better understand the specific needs of our aviation community, we are asking affected businesses to share any challenges or needs you may have, either for immediate relief or for preparations in advance of Hurricane Milton. Whether it’s for securing your facilities, protecting your fleet, or dealing with operational disruptions, we aim to coordinate resources and support where it’s needed most. We also want to hear from you if you have available Hangar storage space to offer in parts of the state not being affected, available GSE for gift, sale or lease, labor support, and anything similar.
FABA will also be looking into seeking legislative assistance from the state as an option to our affected members and GA community.
Please let us know how we can assist by posting on this forum. Your input will help guide relief efforts and allow us to connect you with resources or organizations that may offer further assistance.
We stand united as a community, and we are committed to supporting Florida’s aviation businesses through these trying times. Please stay safe, and do not hesitate to reach out for support.
Warm regards,
José J. Cabrera
Vice President, Florida Aviation Business Association
