Captain Barrington Irving is a record-breaking aviator, educator, and workforce development leader who became the youngest person and first Black pilot to fly solo around the world at age 23. Having traveled to over 70 countries and led more than 80 STEM+ expeditions, he founded Experience Aviation, Flying Classroom—serving over 3 million students nationwide—and the Barrington Irving Technical Training School (BITTS), which provides technical aviation training and job placement. Born in Jamaica and raised in Miami, Irving has earned national recognition for his pioneering work in aviation education and continues to inspire the next generation through STEM+ and workforce development initiatives.
