Can you feel it? Things are changing. As much as I love fall – my favorite season – I am not talking about the shift to the first crisp Florida morning that will hint to the eventual change from summer heat to those cooler temperatures and pumpkin spice lattes.

A friend of mine and I have a habit of swapping daily quotes with one another. You know, the kind of quotes you see on Facebook with fancy print, pretty pictures and inspirational prose. This quote-swapping habit has a way of brightening spirits, showing support, and providing levity when needed.

Although I am not a pilot (gasp!), I have spent my entire life and career surrounded by aviators and aircraft. Perhaps I am not able to speak in the technical terms of a highly trained and skilled pilot, but I have learned a thing or two about flying through osmosis.
