Landmark Aviation Completes Multimillion-Dollar Renovations in Florida

Landmark Aviation has completed a series of multimillion-dollar renovations at several of its Florida facilities. Landmark locations at Miami International Airport (MIA), Tampa International Airport (TPA), and North Palm Beach County Airport (F45) received facelifts that added amenities and increased services for customers in those areas.

“We are excited about these recent renovations and what it means for our customers,” Landmark Aviation Vice President of Logistics Tom Rowe explained. “We are committed to building our brand, which includes making investments in our facilities and services.”

The first set of renovations were completed at Landmark—MIA in late 2012. This LEED-certified project totaled $1.8 million and included the remodel of an existing terminal. The facility now features updated passenger and pilot areas as well as a state-of-the-art conference room for business travelers.

“Our entire team strives to cater to our customers and make them as comfortable as possible,” Landmark—MIA General Manager Isaac Lee explained. “There are many high profile people that live in and travel through MIA on a daily basis. The new design of our FBO enhances the customer experience.”

In early 2013, the second round of renovations in this series was completed after 12 months of construction at Landmark—TPA. The LEED-certified remodel totaled $3 million. It involved terminal renovations and the construction of a dual office and shop space, which was added to an existing hangar.

“The renovations have modernized our facility and made it more comfortable for crew,” Landmark—TPA General Manager Bill Sneesby explained. “Before the remodel our facility was not quite as customer friendly, so the redesign has brought new life to our location.”

The final set of renovations was completed at Landmark—F45 in the second quarter, following six months of construction. The renovations totaled more than $500,000 and included upgrades to its terminal, bathrooms, break room, and pilot lounge.

“The renovations make our facility feel more warm and inviting,” Landmark—F45 General Manager Rick Collins noted. “We’ve improved our lobby by adding comfortable chairs and a bistro area that will allow customers to relax and socialize over coffee.”

Landmark has plans for continued investments around its network, which include renovations to its Norfolk International Airport facility, Aéroport de Paris le Bourget facility, Asheville Regional Airport facility, and a LEED Platinum certified remodel at its San Diego International Airport facility.
