In the Winter 2010 edition of Florida Aviation Business, I wrote an article entitled, “Battle Over Airport Noise Ordinance Goes Bi-Coastal.”

"Senate Bill 1242…would expand the current sales tax exemption for repair and maintenance of aircraft over 15,000 pounds by lowering the threshold for application of the exemption to 2,000 pounds. Aircraft statewide would have repair and maintenance performed tax-free."

Palm Beach International Airport is one of four airports operated and maintained by Palm Beach County’s Department of Airports. Palm Beach International, the gateway to Palm Beach County and the “Best of Everything®,” is located approximately 2.5 miles from downtown Palm Beach and 3.5 miles west of the Town of Palm Beach.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) approved rules allowing airports to take wildlife in emergency situations on airport property. The new rules will help airports avoid wildlife risks to human safety. Currently, if endangered or threatened wildlife poses a threat to human safety, the airport must receive a permit from the FWC to remove the wildlife.

Robert was transferred by his employer, Signature Flight Support, on short notice to Washington, D.C., where he is the new manager of Signature’s Dulles location.
